Balcony Transformation

'New' look

                                            

The 'Transformation of balcony' was on my To Do list since I moved in the new place and this is the perfect time as work from home continues and summer is about to arrive. It should have been here by now (at least the beginning) but so far it seems like extended April weather :-)

The target was to clean the balcony, change the floor and re-arrange it to make it nicer. I also ordered couple of racks to keep the flower pots on and bought couple of 'black boxes' that are longer in size to grow flowers and some other stuff! (I will write another blog about it sometime in summer). Most of the items were ordered through Ikea online and I collected it via Collect & Drive. 

Step 1: Take out the old floor. It's made of plastic and did not look good as it's years old. After that I cleaned & vacuumed the balcony.

   

Step 2: Put the floor. It was ordered via Ikea and was easy enough to install. So far so good. There are still some bare areas but the size of balcony & and Ikea floor are not exact. 

           

Step 3: Assemble racks and put the flowerpots.

   

Results are pretty good. I am happy and look forward to summer :-)
